    Layer - Legend
    In This Topic

The map layer legend editor allows you to specify how the map layer is annotated on a map legend. It has the following properties:

Legend - lets you select the legend on which to annotate the layer. Note that Nevron Map for SharePoint supports multiple legends and layers so it is possible to annotate two layers on two distinct legends.

Mode - defines the type of data that the layer should display on the legend. Possible values are:

None - the map layer is not annotated on the legend in any way.

Fill Rule Ranges - the map layer displays the ranges of the map fill rule inside the legend. For more information about the fill rule see the Layer - Fill Rule topic.

Items - the map layer displays all of its items inside the legend.

Fill Rule Ranges Settings - these are settings that control the way in which the fill rule ranges are annotated on the legend, in case the Mode property is set to Fill Rule Ranges. These include:

Range Item Template - the template to use for the regular ranges. Possible template values are <from> and <to> which are replaced for each range with the respective range values.

Last Item Template - the template to use for the last map range. Possible template value is only <from>, which is replaced with the starting value of the last range.

From Value Format - the format with which the range begin values are formatted.

To Value Format - the format with which the range end values are formatted.

Items Settings - these are settings that control the way in which the map items (shapes) are annotated on the legend, in case the Mode property is set to Fill Rule Ranges. These include:

Item Template - the template to use for the map items. Possible template values are <text> and <value> which are replaced with the values from the respective joint table column. Text is obtained from the column specified by the map Text Field Name property, while value is obtained from the column specified by the map Value Field Name property. See Layer - Map for more info.

Value Format - the format with which the values are formatted.
